Answer»

If the first term and the common difference of an arithmetic progression are ‘a’ and ‘d’ RESPECTIVELY, then, nth term of AP = a + (n - 1)d

Now,

3rd term = a + 2d = 19----(1)

6th term = a + 5D = 37----(2)

Subtracting (1) from (2),

⇒ 5d - 2d = 37 - 19

⇒ 3d = 18

⇒ d = 18/3 = 6

Substituting in (1),

⇒ a = 19 - 2(6) = 7

∴ 13th term of AP = a + 12D = 7 + 12(6) = 7 + 72 = 79
