The solar system is also comprised of different satellites of the planets, meteors, comets, etc.The Solar System is made up of all the planets that orbit our Sun. In addition to planets, the Solar System also consists of moons, comets, asteroids, minor planets, dust and gas. The inner solar system contains the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.The solar system is very big and Jupiter is the largest of all planets.The sun is the center of our solar system. The sun is a star, a self luminous mass of gases that emits radiant energy. Besides the sun, other members of the solar system are the nine planets, 32 satellites, asteroids, comets, meteors, and gaseous particles which reflect light known as zodiacal light. Humans live on a small planet in a tiny part of a vast universe. This part of the universe is called the solar system, and is dominated by a single brilliant star-the sun.
