he stability of Cu2+ in aqueous solution rather than CU+ is due to much larger negative hydration enthalpy which more than compensates the larger IONIZATION energy of Cu2+.(b) +3 is the most common oxidation states oc lanthanoids or(a) Mn²+ has HALF FILLED d orbital.That's why it is much stable and hence oxidation is difficult.
