Did peroxisomes present in both plant and animal cells

Answer» Peroxisomes, sometimes called microbodies are generally small (about 0.1 – 1.0 µm in diameter) organelles\xa0found\xa0in\xa0animal\xa0and\xa0plant cells. They can vary in size within the same organism. They are called\xa0peroxisomes\xa0because they all produce hydrogen peroxide.\xa0Peroxisomes absorb nutrients that the cell has acquired. They are very well known for digesting fatty acids. They also play a part in the way organisms digest alcohol (ethanol). Because they do that job, you would expect\xa0liver cells\xa0to have more peroxisomes than most other cells in a human body.
