Out of light and a heavy body and lighter body having equal kinetic energy which one will move fast |
|
Answer» Kinetic Energy = 1/2 * mass * (velocity)^2 since we know the kinetic ENERGIES of the two masses are equal… KE1 = KE2 .:. (1/2) * m1 * (v1)^2 = (1/2) * m2 * (v2)^2 .:. m1 * (v1)^2 = m2 * (v2)^2 .:. m1 / m2 = (v2)^2 / (v1)^2 OR v2^2 = m1/m2 * v1^2 if we say that m1 = 1kg and m2 = 2 kg, then v2^2 = 1/2 * v1^2 or v2 = 1/sqrt(2) * v1. so the lighter mass will move FASTER.
