J.R. Oppenheimer was the leader of the American team that developed the weapon that caused the nuclear explosion during the Second World War in 1945. He was greatly moved to see such a dreadful mass destruction. At this stage, he was in Arjuna’s position who was at a loss to think that he was the cause behind a great carnage. But then he could even justify his action of developing a weapon of mass destruction for the cause that he thought to be right. This was Krishna’s stand. Thus, his moral dilemma was parallel to Krishna Arjuna dialogue.
