Quorum in each house (Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha) is at least the one-tenth part of the total number of members of the house including the presiding officer. 3. If the Lower House has total membership of 545, at least 55 members are necessary to be present for the proceeding, and for proceeding of the upper House, at least 25 members (total members are 245) should be present. 4. If there is no quorum at any time in any session of the Parliament, then a bell rings for the information of the members. Even then, if there is no quorum, then the Speaker / Chairman suspends the session.
