Answer» (i) EDUCATION (a) Right to Free and Compulsory Child Education Act : It provides free, compulsory and quality elementary education for the children of 6 to 14 years of age. Scholarship and other facilities are provided to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, minority classes and orphane students. (b) National Mission for Secondary Education : Under this, the Swami Vivekanand Government Model School is being set up in all academically backward blocks of the state. In these schools, classes from 6 to 12 are operated. The teaching work from class 9 to 12 is done in English medium. In class 6 to 8, special attention is given to teaching English. This school is equipped with resources like well-developed sports field, LET. Lab., Equipped science laboratory, library and reading room, Lingua Lab for English speaking. (ii) FOOD SECURITY (a) Public distribution system : Under this scheme, wheat, sugar, foodgrains and kerosene are available at affordable rates to the financially vulnerable families and other groups of the deprived people. (b) Private participation : Through this, a lot of high quality items are being made available to the common people at fair price shops at reasonable prices. (c) Antyodaya scheme : Under this scheme, the government is providing food to the people of BPL category on the minimum rates. (d) Mid-Day-Meal : Under this scheme, free lunch arrangements have been made for children in all the state schools. (e) An’ganwadi Centers : All Anganwadi centers are provided with Nutritional Supplements for children of 3 to 6 years age. (iii) MEDICAL: (a) Chief Minister’s Free Medicines and Check-up Scheme : The Government of Rajasthan is providing free medicines to patients in government hospitals and most medical check-ups are also free under this scheme. Free medicines are also being provided to animals. (b) Toll Free 104 and 108 : At 104 telephone no. anyone can consult specialist doctors to solve their health problem and on the same number free ambulance service can be provided for mothers and babies. Free ambulance service can also be called at 108 number by anyone. (c) Birth and child protection scheme : Under this scheme, health services are being provided to mothers and child. (iv) HOUSING: (a) Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme and Indira Housing Scheme : Under these two schemes, grants for free land and housing construction is being made available to selected disabled people in rural areas. (v) EMPLOYMENT: (a) Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MANREGA): On the demand of employment by unskilled workers registered in rural areas under this scheme. Guarantee has been provided by the government to provide minimum 150 days of employment for the year immediately near his home. If the employment is not available in 15 days, he will be given unemployment allowance. (b) Employment Training Center : In these institutions, training of skills related to different industries is provided for skill development in youth. Loans are also being provided to self-employed youth for training. (c) Employment camp : From time to time, employment camps are organized in the districts, where employment and training related information and guidance are provided. (vi) E-GOVERNANCE : Without going to the civilian government office, near his home or even sitting in the house one could do a number of things; hence the system of e-governance based on the Internet system has been started. The following arrangements have been made under this facility. (a) E-Mitra Center : To provide many govern¬ment services, e-mitra centers have been set up. (b) Atal Seva Centers : E-Mitra and mini banking services are being provided at these centers at the Gram Panchayat level. (c) Information kiosks (Touch Screen kiosks) : ‘Information kiosks’ are established in the head office of Panchayat Samiti and District Collector’s office. Government information can be obtained through this and your suggestions and complaints can also be sent to the government departments. (d) Rajasthan Contact Portal : Complaints or problems can be sent to any department and suggestion can also be sent to the ‘Rajasthan Sampark’ Portal through the Internet. Through this, many administration related information can also be obtained. (e) Toll Free Telephone Service : A toll free telephone service has been started to register complaints in almost all departments. |
