Never Mind .. let's take an exampleQuestion - a CERTAIN sample took 30 minutes for 300 mL to percolate. Find its percolation rate . = 10 ml / min• The calculation can be done according to the noted reading confirms the percolation rate of the soil sample. • The unit of percolation rate will be in ml/min. • Sandy soil has highest rate of percolation of water and least water holding capacity. • Clayey soil has least percolation rate and highest water holding capacity. • Loamy soil has the percolation rate in between Sandy soil and Clayey soil with right amount of water holding capacity.
