Drought stress causes wilting, yellowing of the leaves, advanced leaf fall, and premature fruit ripening or fruit DROP. Often, drought stress is associated with heat stress during the hot summer months.b) Insectivorous plants trap insects.! Why?Ans: Insectivorous plants mainly grow in humid wildernesses and bogs where plenty of sunlight and moisture can be found. However, since NUTRIENTS are scarce in the soil, they capture insects to supplement the nutrients that they tend to lack. |
