Answer» the new Forest laws passed by the British, the villagers including the tribal communities had to face severe hardships. Villagers earlier used to cut trees for the building their houses. They also took their cattle for grazing in the forests. After the British passed the Forest Acts, The villagers now were denied to cut trees and use the woods. The grazing of cattle was also banned. Thus, villagers became helpless as they always required wood for maintaining their houses and as fuel. |
