12. Explain the type of respiration in yeast cells with the help ofequation

Answer»

ANAEROBIC respiration

In yeast anaerobic respiration produces ETHANOL which is Alcohol (DRUG). GLUCOSE = (ethanol or lactic acid) + carbon dioxide + energyC6H12O6 = 2C2H5OH + 2CO2 + 2ATP. Anaerobic respiration is the ability of an organism to PRODUCE energy in the form of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) without using oxygen.
