Answer» tion:1-Simply put, NUTRIENT energy intake equals energy output. Through the body's network of blood vessels and veins, glucose and amino acids are directly transported from the small intestine to the liver.2-Inside the air sacs, OXYGEN MOVES across paper-thin walls to tiny blood vessels called capillaries and into your blood. A protein called haemoglobin in the red blood cells then carries the oxygen around your body.3-Arteries carry oxygenated blood (blood that has gotten oxygen from the lungs) from the heart to the rest of the body. Blood then travels through veins back to the heart and lungs, so it can get more oxygen to send back to the body via the arteries.4-Carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere by human activities. When hydrocarbon fuels (i.e. wood, coal, natural gas, gasoline, and oil) are burned, carbon dioxide is released. During combustion or burning, carbon from fossil fuels combine with oxygen in the air to form carbon dioxide and water VAPOR. |
