Answer» Volume of first cube = 1 1 1 = 1 cubic cm.Volume of second cube = 6 * 6 6 = 216 cu cm.Volume of third cube = 8 8 * 8 = 512 cub cm.Then Volume of bigger cube = 512 + 1 + 216 = 729.So, side of bigger cube = Cube root of 729 = 9 cm.Surface area of cube = 6 * a^2 = 6 * 9 *9 = 486 sq. cm.
