It was declared that if Dominion status was not given within a year the Congress would settle for nothing less complete independence. At Lahore session of Congress in December 1929 whose president was Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru decided to protest for poorna swaraj or complete independence and ASKED all it's Congress men to RESIGN from legislature and not to take part in forthcoming election |
