Answer» Let the work to be done is W rate of doing work / day for A = W/8 suppose rate of doing work for B is x and both A and B can finish W work in 6 days so , 6(w/8 +x) = W => 3w/4 +6x = W=> 6x = w-3w/4 = w/4 so , x = w/46 = w/24 so, rate of doing work for B per day is = w/24 zo, B can do whole w work in 24 days.

rate of doing work / day for A = W/8

suppose rate of doing work for B is x and both A and B can finish W work in 6 days so , 6*(w/8 +x) = W

=> 3w/4 +6x = W=> 6x = w-3w/4 = w/4 so , x = w/4*6 = w/24

so, rate of doing work for B per day is = w/24 zo, B can do whole w work in 24 days.
