now , avg is (x+15+12)/3 = 15=> x+27 = 45=> x = 45-27 = 18 years

Let the ages of 3 brothers be x; y ; z respectively. Then A.T.Q, we have (x+y+z) /3=15(x+y+z)=45 --------1)Also we have ages of two brothers as 15 and 12 yrs so by putting x=15 and y =12 in EQ. 1) we get 15+12 + z= 45z= 45-27= 18
