1.

A and B throw hem gets a 'b anwins the game. Find their respective probabilities of winning, istarts first.a die alternatively till one of t6

Answer»

Probability of A winning….

Possible events =6 ( In a die there are equal chances of getting 1,2,3,4,5 and 6)

Favorable events or outcomes= 1 (One must get only 3 to win)

Probability of getting a 3 or winning = No.of favourable outcomes/ no.of possible outcomes.

= 1/6 =0.166..

Or,= 1/6*100=16.6%.

Since , B also need a 3 to win as in case of A, so the probability is same ,i.e, 16.6%.

Therefore probability of their winning is 16.6% and 16.6%.
