(iii) The march was CONSIDERED as a drama, an ANTIC, adesperate effort to mobilise people who were unwilling to rise against the British. (iv) Reports of newspapers REFLECT the fears and anxieties of officials. They were unable to control the movement and anxious about its spread. (v) The British worried about the basis of its rule.
