Answer»

(1) Amphibians are those organisms which live on both land and in water. Bryophytes are called amphibians of the plant kingdom because these plants though live in soil but they need water for sexual reproduction. The sperm of bryophyte (antherozoids) are flagellate and need water to swim to the eggs.

(2) Spiders and scorpions are different species of the same phylum Arthropoda. They both are different, but they have many characteristics in common, such as they both have jointed 6 legs, coelomic cavity filled with blood, open circulatory system.

(3)i. Except for crocodilians, which have a four-chambered heart, all reptiles have a three-chambered heart.ii. Tapeworms embed their heads into the intestinal wall and remain there.iii. Egg-laying Mammals. There are only five living monotreme species: the duck-billed platypus and four species of echidna (also known as spiny anteaters).
