Answer» Correct Answer - Option 2 : 3.6%

Given:

Profit = 26%

Discount = 10%

Case 2 discount: 26%

Formula used:

Selling price = Marked price (100 - discount 1)/100

Calculation:

Let CP be 100

SP = 126

⇒126 = MP × 90/100

MP = 140

According to question

If discount is 26%

SP in case 2

⇒ SP = 140(100 - 26)/100

⇒ SP 140 × 74/100

⇒ SP = 103.6

⇒ Now profit = 3.6

CP = 100

⇒ Profit % = (3.6/100) × 100

∴ Profit % is 3.6.
