It ENCLOSES the central canal of the spinal cord, which contains cerebrospinal fluid. 3)A nerve is an enclosed, cable-like bundle of nerve fibres CALLED AXONS, in the peripheral nervous system. A nerve transmits electrical impulses and is the basic unit of the peripheral nervous system. 4)The cerebrum is the largest PART of the brain, located superiorly and anteriorly in relation to the brainstem.
