Answer»

Correct option is:(C) 1 : 2

A fair dice is tossed twice.

∴ n(S) = 36

A: Getting 4, 5, or 6 on the first toss and Getting 1, 2, 3, or 4 on the second toss.

∴ A = {(4, 1), (4, 2), (4, 3), (4, 4), (5, 1), (5, 2), (5, 3), (5, 4), (6, 1), (6, 2), (6, 3), (6, 4)}

 ∴ P(A) = \(\frac {n(A)}{n(S)} = \frac {12} {36} = \frac {1}{3}\)

∴ Required answer = P(A) : P(A’) = 1 : 2
