Answer» THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government and aided schools in Kerala would FORMALLY reopen on June 1, marking the start of the 2021-2022 academic year, education minister V Sivankutty said here on Thursday. In view of the PREVAILING Covid-19 conditions, the school opening festival ( Pravesanothsavam) would be HELD online. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan would inaugurate the reopening festival. This would be followed by school level festivals. The functions would be telecast on KITE Victers, the state's education television channel, using which the general education department has been providing digitally recorded CLASSES to students from class 1 to 12, since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.``The classes to be telecast on the Victers channel during the initial days would focus on programmes aimed at boosting the confidence of students who won’t be able to attend regular classes till the Pandemic is over. There would be modules to help students to brush up their knowledge base. It would act as a bridge course for students who have been promoted to higher classes'', the minister said. |
