First you should know about the terms Stimulants and Depressant.

Stimulants are drugs that 'stimulate' the central nervous system. In other words, they increase the activity in your brain. Though each stimulant has unique effects, all stimulants increase your heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature. By increasing the electrical activity in your brain, stimulants cause you to be more alert, decrease fatigue, and prolong physical activity. Stimulants can also improve your mood and increase self-confidence. For these reasons, stimulants are also referred to as 'uppers.'

Some of the more common types of stimulants are caffeine, nicotine, cocaine, amphetamines, and methamphetamines.

Depressants are drugs that slow down the activity of the central nervous system. By decreasing the electrical activity in the brain, depressants produce a calming effect in the body and slow down the brain's normal functioning. Depressants can decrease your level of awareness, lower your pulse and heart rate, and reduce breathing. For these reasons, depressants are also referred to as 'downers'.

some common type of depressant drugs are barbiturates, benzodiazepines, ethanol, opioids, cannabis, and flunitrazepam.

2. Cocaine, also called crack cocaine, is a highly addictive stimulant. It can be snorted, injected into a vein, or smoked. Cocaine is mostly used as a recreational drug. This drug causes Mental effects which includes loss of contact with reality, an intense feeling of happiness, or agitation.
3. Opium is a narcotic depressant obtained from the seedpod of an opium poppy. It is commonly used as an analgesic painkiller.
