Let the required number be x.Then,

= x + (2x/3) = 55

= (3x + 2x)/3 = 55

= 5x/3 = 55

Multiplying both side by (3/5)

= (5x/3) × (3/5) = 55 × (3/5)

= x= 11 × 3

= x = 33

∴ The required number is 33
