Distance is the length of the total path covered,whereas displacement is the shortest distance. So in HALF a REVOLUTION the distance covered is circumference DIVIDED by 2.

distance= (2*3.14*R)/2

=3.14*r.

displacement is NOTHING but the diameter of the circle.

displacement=2*r.
