Given that , COST of A is 34.5 , B is 28.6 , C is 32.4 .ACCORDING to the options , he bought two varieties .
so, Total gain = gain DUE to first item + gain due to second item
Going by options , option (A)20(38-34.5) +20(36-32.4) = 142
option (B)30(37-34.5) +40(33-28.6) = 251
option (C)20(40-28.6) +40(38-32.4) = 452

So , option (C) gives more gain.
