A solution of Hydrogen Peroxide contains 6.8 gram H2O2/100ml. Find the Molarity of this Substance

Answer»

Given :

6.8 g H2O2 in 100 mL water = 68 g H2O2 in 1 liter water.

Molar Mass of H2O2 = 34 g/mol.

We know that

Molarity = Number of moles of solute / Volume of Solution in L

Molarity = 68 g/34 g/mol = 2 mol in 1 liter = 2M.

Hence, Molarity = 2M
