A highly developed ear enables a TIGER to detect the faintest rustle from a distance, many a time through dense foliage. It HELPS a tiger to take up a vantage position in hunt. Notice the white spots on the back of a tiger's ear. They are always twitching like a RADAR dish analyzing sounds for PREY or for danger.

Even the whiskers are excellent sensory monitors .
