Initial speed of the train u = 0

= 40 x \(\frac{5}{18}\) = 11.11 m/s

time = 10 min = 10 x 60 = 600 sec

acceleration a = \(\frac{v-u}{t}\)

\(\frac{11.11-0}{600}\) = 0.0185 ms-2

∴ acceleration of a train = 0.0185 ms-2.
