| Answer» EXPLANATION:Considering the SPATIAL VARIATION of physiography,the state can be divided into two main physiographic REGIONS namely,(A)The Khasi and Jaintia Hills with higher elevations,(B) The Garo Hills with lower elevations. While the former can be further divided into (l) the CENTRAL Upland consisting of the Ri Khasi and Ri Pnar areas (2) the southern slopes or the War area (3) the northern slope or the Bhoi area.
