MuhammadBinTughluqchanged thecapitalfrom Delhi to Daulatabad because he thought that it was safer than Delhi as anyone could attack Delhi but Daulatabad was in a much inner area so be move to Daulatabad. He also felt that it would make him safe from the Mongol invasions which were mainly aimed at Delhi and regions in north India.
