Answer»  a) Carbons are the bad conductors of the electricity because the carbon atoms do not have any free electron which is in the conduction band. They are not able to conduct in the room temperature so, if you increase the temperature of the room, then the electrons will start acquiring energy and will start contributing to the conduction. b) Any cycloalkane can be the answer.Cyclopentane (C5H10) or cyclohexane (C6H12) are two examples. All these have the general formula CnH2n.Since all the cycloalkanes contain single bonds, they are saturated.  |
