Answer» Answer: Yes, this is the type of governance that is followed in India. Explanation: The Prime Minister has more AUTHORITY as he is the elected representative of the people of India. The procedure followed in making a person the PM of India is, the normal people elect their REPRESENTATIVES, known as the MP ( Member of Parliament ). It is these members of parliament who then elect their leader in the house, who is then FORMALLY known as the Prime Minister. The President however is a nominated CANDIDATE by the sitting house and has access to very less powers compared to the PM, he is given the charge of the armed forces and some other powers to execute. |
