Emotionally and socially fit students:

• Display self-control: Emotionally and socially fit students are able to manage their anger as well as joy. In adverse situations, they remain calm and controlled and in a happy situation, they will share their happiness with others.
• Express feeling in words: Whatever they feel for others or whatever is the situation, such kids try to express themselves openly.
• Take pride in accomplishment: In every accomplishment, whether it is success or failure, they accept this with pride without feeling jealous or competitive with others.
• Ask for help when needed: In need without any doubt, they will ask for help from their peers, teachers, and parents. Instead of hiding any adverse situation, such kids like to share with others and believe in getting their help.
• Shows affection to familiar people: They love the people around them. Those people may be their parents, family members, peers, teachers, etc.
• Aware of others' feeling: They always respect the feelings of others. They will neither shy away from expressing themselves nor do they disrespect others' feelings.

Conclusion: A socially and emotionally healthy child will always respect others, have self-control, takes pride in his/her accomplishment, and love all those people whom they know. Hence, option (4) is not the characteristic of a socially and emotionally healthy child.
