1.	Alloys are used in electrical heating devices rather than the pure metal. Why?
Answer» Alloys are homogeneous mixtures of two or more metals. Generally alloys have more resistivity than the metals from which they have been prepared. As the resistivity increases heating effect of conductor also increases. So alloys are preferred in heating devices.
