Answer» Correct Answer - Option 3 : 35000

Given:

Initial investment of Aman and mathu is 30000 and 40000 respectively.

Difference between their profits at the end of the year = 1000

Formula used:

Profit = total profit × (part share / total share)

Calculation:

Let us assume the total profit = 100x

Aman’s share for being the working partner = 100x × 10/100 = 10x

Rest (100x – 10x) = 90x will be divided in the ratio = 30000 : 40000 = 3 : 4

Aman’s total payout = [10x + (90x × 3/7)]

Mathu’s total payout = (90x × 4/7)

 ATQ,

(90x × 4/7) - [10x + (90x × 3/7)] = 1000

⇒ 90x × 1/7 – 10x = 1000

⇒ 20x/7 = 1000

⇒ 100x = (1000 × 7 × 100)/20 = 35000

∴ Total profit = Rs. 35000
