1.

An electron and a proton are moving with equal speed. Which one has greater de-Broglie wavelength? Justify your answer.

Answer»

We know that, de-brogli \(\lambda=\frac h{p}\)

\(\lambda=\frac{h}{mv}\)

\(\lambda\propto\frac1{m}\)

The mass of electron is less than mass of photon. So De-brogli wavelength of electron will greater than wavelength of photon.
