Mathematically, Boyle’s law can be written as p ∝ \(\frac{1}{V}\) (at constant T and n) Or p = k × \(\frac{1}{V}\) where k is the proportionality constant which depends upon the amount of the gas, temperature of the gas and the units in which p and V are expressed. |
