Answer» Solution :In case of slanting STAIRCASE, path TRAVERSED by a person in more than that of a vertically sprial staircase. For the longer path the work done against FRICTION will be more. So for friction TOTAL work done by a person USING slanting staircase will be more than that of spiral staircase.
