A renewable resource is a resource which can be used repeatedly and replaced naturally. Renewable energy almost never runs out, for example:solar energyis powered by heat from the sun and never runs out. Examples include oxygen, fresh water,solar energyandbiomass.

The resources which can be renewed by natural process and can be used again and again are called renewable resources. Ex- Air,water, sunlight etc

Arenewable resourceis anatural resourcewhich will replenish to replace the portiondepletedby usage and consumption, either through natural reproduction or other recurring processes in a finite amount of time in a human time scale. Renewable resources are a part of Earth's natural environment and the largest components of itsecosphere. A positive life cycle assessment is a key indicator of a resource's sustainability.[1]

Definitions of renewable resources may also include agricultural production, as insustainable agricultureand to an extentwater resources.[2]In 1962,Paul Alfred Weissdefined Renewable Resources as: "The total range of living organisms providing man with life, fibres, etc...".[3]Another type of renewable resources isrenewable energyresources. Common sources of renewable energy include solar, geothermal and wind power, which are all categorised as renewable resources.
