= x*y= 45

= x = 45 / y ---- 2

Substitute two in one.= 45 / y + y = 14

=45 + y^2 = 14 y

= y^2 - 14 y + 45 = 0

= y^2 - 9 y - 5 y + 45 = 0

= y ( y - 9 ) - 5 (y - 9) = 0

= ( y - 9) ( y - 5) = 0

= y = 9, 5.
