Answer» Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration across a semi-permeable mebrane. This process continues till the concentration becomes equal. It can be stated that in small intestine and large intestine water molecules move from a region of higher concentration to a region on lower concentration.
