At what temp., density of water is maximum and why |
|
Answer» The initial temp we give is Used to break the Hydrogen bonding in Ice and hence at 4 Degree all the hydrogen bonds have broken so water has max density at 4 degree after that density decreases When the ice melts to liquid water, the structure collapses and the density of the liquid increases. At temperatures well above freezing, the molecules move faster and get further apart. The density decreases as temperature increases. ... Thus, the density of water is a maximum at 4 °C...... And reason ? 4 degree Celsius |
