Answer» Bhagwat Singh ji is the master of the haveli, ‘Jeevan Niwas’. He is kind, generous and merciful. He treats the maids and their children with affection. He gives Pari, the oldest maid, the regard of a mother. He scolds Heeralal, the driver, for misbehaving with Lakshmi. When he sees he is repentent, he forgives him. He arranges good schooling for Sita who is a maid’s daughter. Hence he was a big man with a big heart. भगवत सिंह जी जीवन-निवास हवेली के स्वामी हैं। वह दयालु, उदार तथा रहम दिल हैं। वह सेविकाओं और उनके बच्चों के साथ प्यार से बर्ताव करते हैं। वह सबसे पुरानी सेविका परी को माँ का सम्मान देते हैं। वह हीरालाल ड्राईवर को सख्ती से फटकारते हैं क्योंकि उसने लक्ष्मी के साथ बदतमीजी की। जब वह देखते हैं कि वह पछतावा कर रही है तो वह उसे क्षमा कर देते हैं। वह लक्ष्मी की पुत्री सीता के लिये अच्छी शिक्षा की व्यवस्था करते हैं। अत: वह एक बड़े हृदय वाले बड़े आदमी थे। |
