1. Co – efficient of standard deviation:

It is a relative measure of standard deviation. It is calculated to compare the variability in two or more than two series. It is calculated by dividing the standard deviation by arithmetic mean of data symbolically.

Co – efficient of S.D.

Here Standard deviation = \(\frac{\sigma}{X}\times 100\)

2. Arithmetic mean

Co – efficient of variance. It is most popularly used to measure relative variation of two or more than two series. It should the relationship between the S.D and the arithmetic mean expressed in terms of percentage. It is used to compare uniformly, consistency and variability in two different series. 

Symbolically C.V = \(\frac{\sigma}{X}\times100\)

3. Variance:

It is the square of standard deviation. It is closely Related to standard deviation. It is the average squared deviation from mean whereas standard deviation is the square root of variance. Symbolically variance = σ²
