Answer» As Valli started her bus journey, she saw on one side there was the canal and, beyond it, palm trees, grassland, distant mountains, and the blue sky. On the other side was a deep ditch and then acres and acres of green fields. She also saw a young cow running very fast, right in the middle of the road. Then, the bus came to a railroad crossing. Valli saw a train approaching from far and it looked very tiny. From there it traversed a busy, well-laid-out shopping street. She was surprised to see the bright looking shops and the clothes on display. She was delighted by the sights that she saw. On the way back, she saw a cow lying dead on the road. This made her very sad. Her view about the world and what happened in the world changed after the trip. Already a bit more mature than her age, she understood the mystery of life and death through her first ride on the bus. She realised that in a short span of time, people/ creatures that looked so lively a moment ago are snatched away by death. |
