1.

Calculate the wavelength of a tennis ball of mass 60 gm moving with a velocity of 10 m per second.

Answer»

Given,

m = 60 gm = \(\frac{60}{1000}\)= 6 x 10-2 kg

v = 10 m/sec

According to de-Broglie equation,

\(\lambda=\frac{h}{mv}\)

\(\frac{6.626\times10^{-34}Js}{6\times10^{-2}kg\times10\,m/sec}\)

= 1.104 × 10−33 m
