Can a non-polar molecule have polar covalent bonds? |
Answer» Yes, it is possible in case of mol.ecules having linear and symmetrical shapes. In them, the bonds are polar bup their polarities cancel out resulting in non-polar molecules. For example, in `CO_(2)` (O=C=O) both the bonds, are polar.`C Cl_(4)` molecule, C0Cl bonds are polar but molecule is non polar in nature. | |
